Dakota Blue Richards
Dakota Blue Richards is an English actress who is best known for her role as Lyra Belacqua in the film "The Golden Compass" and Franky Fitzgerald in the third generation of actors in British teen drama "Skins'. There is also a long career of stage performances in plays such as 'Arcadia and A Streetcar Named Desire. Richards, a Londoner by birth, was raised on her home on the Sussex coast. She took a couple of lessons in drama at her school but mostly received training in acting on weekends. She also skipped school for auditions. The film was her debut an actress. While the film garnered only a moderate response, Richards received widespread positive evaluations on her acting. She made her television debut the next year in the feature film Dustbin Baby.
